About the Role

Hertz Local Edition (HLE) provides flexible, local rental solutions outside of airport hubs. This role is designed for individuals ready to take charge and grow their career in a fast-paced environment. The Manager Trainee position supports location performance, develops leadership skills, and prepares individuals for promotion to Branch Manager within 12–18 months. This role is ideal for those who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to learn all aspects of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales & Customer Service
• Support achievement of location sales goals.
• Deliver excellent customer experience to contribute to high customer service scores.
• Learn and apply sales techniques and CRM best practices.
• Operations & Fleet Management
• Gain hands-on experience in fleet logistics and inventory control.
• Assist with store operations and compliance.
• Vehicle and Facility Care
• Support team with miscellaneous tasks including cleaning and preparing vehicles for customers, lot management, and customer service assistance.
• Finance & Administration
• Learn finance processes and support deal completion.
• Understand reporting, documentation, and business metrics.
• Leadership Development
• Shadow and support management in daily operations.
• Build skills in team leadership, scheduling, and performance coaching.
• Prepare for future leadership roles through structured training.
• Learn how the role contributes to the overall financial wellbeing of the company.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Must be 20 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong computer and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to grow.
• Exceptional time management skills.
• Flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Presentable attire.
• Experience working in a professional environment.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly Rate: $18.00
• Overtime Pay: Eligible
• Holiday Pay: Eligible (1.5x regular pay rate for hours worked on a designated holiday, in addition to 8 hours of holiday pay)
• Sick Pay: Up to 40 hours
• Paid Time Off / Vacation: Accruals start at .83 Days a Month
• Paid Observed Holidays: 9
