Job Title: Phlebotomy Technician I PRN

Job Summary

Under the supervision of Manager, Preanalytical Laboratory Services and Phlebotomy Supervisors, performs all duties of Phlebotomist responsibilities including routine blood collection on all age groups to include neonates and infants. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to function in Specimen Processing and Receiving area of the Laboratory. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients’ in assigned area.

Key Responsibilities

• Routine blood collection on all age groups to include neonates and infants.
• Function in Specimen Processing and Receiving area of the Laboratory.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Phlebotomy program graduate OR three (3) months experience.
• HS EQ: High School Diploma, GED or Certificate.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of all relevant computer skills as needed for patient ID system and specimen processing functions.
• Demonstrated ability to interact successfully with patients, staff and other healthcare providers and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• FDL: Valid Driver's License.
