Industrial Automation Engineer, FDE

About the Role

InovarTech is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join our growing field delivery team, supporting our AegisVision platform. This is a full-time, base-in-Hyderabad role with pan-India travel. AegisVision delivers Vision AI solutions for large-scale industrial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy and commission AegisVision at customer facilities.
• Integrate with existing PLC, SCADA, and automation systems.
• Map signals and validate data flows.
• Configure site network, edge nodes, cameras, and all peripheral infrastructure.
• Conduct customer walkthroughs and handover sessions with plant managers, IT leads, safety officers, and operators.
• Provide post-deployment support for sites, including diagnosing and escalating issues.
• Relay field observations back to product and engineering teams.

• Network Configuration:
• Switches, VLANs, static IPs, firewall rules, VPN setup across IT & OT environments.
• Software Deployment:
• Installation and configuration on Windows & Linux.
• Logs analysis and troubleshooting (application vs environment issues).
• Camera & Video Systems:
• IP cameras, RTSP streams, ONVIF protocol.
• Basic optics and lighting setup for industrial environments.
• Edge Hardware Setup:
• GPU-based inference nodes, industrial PCs.
• Hardware configuration and driver setup.

Good to Have

• Industrial robotics and automation:
• ABB, FANUC, KUKA, Universal Robots (cobots)
• Understanding of robot I/O, safety zones, and integration with external systems.
• Familiarity with DCS platforms (Honeywell Experion, Emerson DeltaV, ABB 800xA).
• Exposure to Vision AI or image-based inspection systems.
• Understanding of model inference, confidence thresholds, bounding boxes, alert logic.
• Experience in heavy industries (Oil & Gas, Power, Ports, Logistics, Defence).
• Docker and containerized deployments.
