About the Role

The Service Steward role is a full-time, on-site position based in Goa, India.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and assist with seating.
• Ensure a friendly, professional first impression.
• Take orders for food and beverages.
• Serve food and beverages.
• Respond to guest requests.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to deliver timely service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in service areas.
• Follow hygiene and safety standards.
• Support smooth operations during busy shifts and events.
• Handle basic billing.
• Address guest concerns.
• Contribute to a positive, community-oriented atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and guest relations skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of local or additional languages is an advantage.
• Basic food and beverage service knowledge, including table setting, order taking, and serving etiquette.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Attention to detail and commitment to hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards.
• Prior experience in hospitality, hotels, resorts, cafés, or restaurants is preferred but not mandatory.
• Team-oriented mindset with reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to learn and adapt.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hospitality-related training or certification is a plus.
