About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Junior Python Developer to join our engineering team. This role is ideal for freshers or early-career professionals with 0-1 year of experience who are passionate about programming, backend development, automation, and building scalable software solutions. You will work closely with experienced developers and cross-functional teams to develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications while gaining hands-on exposure to modern frameworks, APIs, databases, and software engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications and services
- Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code
- Support backend development using Python frameworks
- Build and integrate REST APIs and work with databases
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging activities
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and QA teams
- Support automation initiatives and continuous application improvements
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- 0-1 year of experience in Python development, software engineering, or a related role
- Good understanding of Python programming, object-oriented programming, and data structures
- Familiarity with frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI
- Basic understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and backend development
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with Git and version control practices
- Basic knowledge of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
- Strong analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Good to Have
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or deployment processes
- Basic understanding of unit testing frameworks such as Pytest
- Interest in AI, machine learning, automation, or data engineering
- Academic projects, internships, or GitHub repositories demonstrating Python development skills
