About the Role
- This is a part-time position at Nazareth Hospital, Philadelphia, PA, with a rotating shift schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Processes diet orders and diet changes for assigned patients.
- Assists in floor stock maintenance for assigned units.
- Participates in tray assembly, delivery, and retrieval.
- Breaks down after meal service and cleans the kitchen and patient trays.
- Participates in cold food production.
- Visits patient rooms to obtain verbal menus.
- Communicates patient comments, concerns, or problems to the dietician, shift leader, or manager.
- Assists in food preparation, including assembling prepared food for service, preparing salads, desserts, and nourishments.
- Prepares and stores all food according to HACCP standards.
- Maintains HACCP Infection Control guidelines.
- Demonstrates equipment safety for items such as the meat slicer, coffee urn, can opener, and dishwasher.
