Sales Associate (Part-Time)

About the Role

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) is hiring Part-Time Sales Associates (Intermittent Liquor Store Clerks - ILSC) for its Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores. These roles are located at Store #5163 in Grays Ferry Shopping Center, Philadelphia. Multiple positions may be filled.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service, helping shoppers find what they need.
• Manage sales transactions with a computerized cash register.
• Unload shipments, stock shelves, and set up product displays.
• Receive, assemble, and pack wholesale customer orders, loading them into vehicles.
• Safely lift products weighing 30 to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 60 pounds.
• Stand for extended periods of time.
• Keep the store clean and organized.
• Utilize scanners, box cutters, dollies, carts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.
• Follow all legal guidelines to ensure alcohol is sold only to customers who are legally permitted to buy it.
• Work in a friendly, team-oriented environment.

Work Schedule and Additional Information

• Permanent part-time employment.
• Preferred availability: 13 – 20 hours per week.
• Flexible shifts available, typically 4 – 7 hours per shift.
• Availability on a rotating basis during the week (daytime and evening) and weekends (daytime and evening).
• Store hours: Monday – Saturday, 7:00 AM – 10:30 PM; Sunday, 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM.
• A minimum of 13 hours per week is required, with the ability to work up to 32 hours per week.
• Telework is not an option.
• Headquarters will be at the listed store, but assignment to other stores within the county or district may occur based on operational needs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must meet the PA residency requirement.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.
• Must pass a background investigation.
• Applicants with a felony conviction within the last ten years are not permitted to work for the PLCB.
