Sap Advanced Business Application Programming Consultant

About the Role

This is a full-time remote role for a SAP Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) Consultant. The consultant will design, develop, and maintain custom ABAP programs and enhancements within SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments, including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms.

Key Responsibilities

• Working with functional teams to understand business requirements.
• Developing and testing ABAP solutions.
• Troubleshooting issues and optimizing performance.
• Implementing and supporting customizations such as user exits, BAPIs, and IDocs to integrate SAP with other systems and meet client-specific needs.
• Participating in code reviews, documentation, and deployment activities.
• Providing ongoing support for production systems.
• Collaborating with onshore and offshore teams.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong experience in SAP ABAP development.
• ALV Reports for custom reporting and data presentation.
• Enhancement techniques such as User Exits for client-specific customizations.
• Integration technologies including BAPI and IDoc for building and maintaining interfaces with external and internal systems.
• Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts within SAP ABAP.
• Experience working in SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.
• Experience on implementation, upgrade, and migration projects.
• Ability to analyze functional specifications, translate them into technical designs, and deliver high-quality, well-tested code.
• Good knowledge of performance optimization, debugging, and troubleshooting in SAP ABAP.

Qualifications

• Relevant academic background in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in distributed, remote teams.
• SAP ABAP certifications are an advantage.
• Prior experience with ERP implementation or support projects is beneficial.
• Familiarity with AWS-based SAP hosting environments is beneficial.
