About the Role
The Intern role at HITAM Rocketry Club is a full-time, on-site position based in Hyderabad. Interns support the design, fabrication, and testing of model rockets and sub-systems under the guidance of senior club members and mentors.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with CAD modeling.
- Perform basic calculations.
- Collect data during tests.
- Document experiments.
- Maintain lab and workshop areas.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in regular technical meetings.
- Contribute to project reports and presentations.
- Learn safety protocols.
- Follow standard operating procedures.
- Engage in club events, outreach activities, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Interest in rocketry, aerospace, or mechanical/related engineering fields.
- Willingness to learn technical concepts.
- Basic understanding of physics and mathematics.
- Ability to apply physics and mathematics to engineering problems.
- Comfort with hands-on work.
- Experience using basic tools.
- Experience using lab equipment.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines.
- Strong collaboration skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Self-motivated.
- Organized.
- Ability to manage time effectively.
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a relevant diploma or degree program (engineering, science, or related field preferred).
- Experience with CAD software, basic programming, or data analysis tools is an advantage but not required.
