The GTM Company

About the Role

You own outbound growth for a book of 25+ B2B clients. This is not an entry-level role.

  • Reports to: Cameron (Founder)
  • Location: Remote: US, LATAM or UK/EU, with at least 4 hours’ overlap with US Eastern working hours
  • Compensation: $5,000–$10,000 USD per month, depending on experience
  • Bonuses: Tied to client results and retention

You will be responsible for finding plays that generate pipeline for each client, writing offers and copy, running tests, and determining what scales and what gets killed. You can build these plays yourself or create a plan for your GTM Engineer. Clients are closed before they reach you, and the technical team owns infrastructure, deliverability, and automation. Your time will focus on ideas, offers, copy, testing, and the client. This role is for someone who has grown startups before and knows that the best results come from creative, untested ideas that are then executed.

About The GTM Company

The GTM Company is an outbound agency for B2B companies. We build the list, write the offer and copy, set up sending infrastructure, and automate processes. Our clients include fast-growing venture-backed startups.

  • We are an early-stage company of 6 people.
  • We are growing revenue 20–50% month on month.
  • New clients onboard every week.
  • We have a refined process for taking clients from onboarding to results.

We are an AI-first agency, running processes through Claude Code and Codex. Research, lists, offers, copy, and campaigns are built internally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run every onboarding, identifying the core offer, buyer, and reasons for previous outbound failures. First copy goes out within 48 hours.
  • Find growth plays by identifying new angles, signals, channels, and unique offers for each client's go-to-market strategy.
  • Build plays yourself in Claude Code or Codex, or create clear plans for your Engineer.
  • Write and launch campaigns; AI assists with research and drafting.
  • Test across your client book at scale, making decisions on what scales, gets reduced, or is eliminated quickly.
  • Spread successful plays across other clients where applicable.
  • Improve the onboarding-to-results process and turn learnings into team skills.
  • Own the client relationship, communicating progress, changes, and rationale via Slack and calls.

What you won’t do

  • Sell: Clients are closed before they reach you, and you do not pitch or upsell.
  • Maintain the tech: The technical team owns infrastructure, deliverability, and automation.

Requirements & Tech Stack

You must have:

  • A background in at least one of: go-to-market engineering, cold email and outbound, or B2B growth at a startup or scale-up.
  • Experience helping a startup or scale-up grow, in-house or at an agency, with demonstrable results.
  • Experience with cold email copy and offers that generated replies, and the ability to analyze campaign failures and propose changes.
  • Experience managing multiple clients or projects simultaneously without compromising quality.
  • Comfort working in the terminal with Claude Code or Codex, or the ability to rapidly learn.

You’ll stand out if you:

  • Have worked at an outbound or lead-gen agency.
  • Are hands-on and capable of building things like Clay tables, automations, scrapers, or landing pages.
  • Use Clay, n8n, EmailBison, Instantly, or Smartlead.
  • Have already built your own Claude Code skills or automations.

How you work

  • Quickly identify market entry strategies.
  • Prioritize immediate testing over perfect long-term planning.
  • Analyze data, make early decisions, and shift focus to what is working.
  • Effectively push back on stakeholders when necessary and maintain confidence during slow periods.
  • Communicate clearly in writing and on calls, ensuring clients are informed.
  • Leverage AI for research, building, and drafting, and seek to expand its use.

How we measure success

  • Time from onboarding to copy delivery (target: 48 hours).
  • Time from onboarding to first campaign launch.
  • Pipeline generated, positive reply rate, and meetings booked across your client book.
  • Tests launched and winners scaled per client.
  • Client retention.
  • Client response time.

Your first 90 days

  • First 30 days: Learn systems with Cameron, co-run initial clients, and pitch your first new play.
  • 60 days: Run onboarding for all new clients and launch your own tests.
  • 90 days: Manage your full client book and make scale-or-kill decisions independently.

Why join

  • Direct work with the founding team, with ideas quickly moving to decisions.
  • High pace environment, with first copy delivered within 48 hours of onboarding and new campaigns launching weekly.
  • Support from an Engineer, allowing you to build when preferred without doing everything yourself.
  • Opportunity to write playbooks and improve processes as new clients onboard weekly.
  • Role growth potential as the company scales and hires more Strategists.
  • Direct training from Cameron on AI systems, strategy, offers, and copy.

Hiring process

  • Intro call: 30 minutes with Cameron, our founder.
  • Growth exercise (paid, 2-3 hours): Pitch three creative plays to generate pipeline for a real company, and write the offer and first email for your best one.
  • Offer and kick-off.
