Technician

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Technician role based in Chennai. The Technician will support wind turbine blade inspection, repair, and maintenance activities, following established safety procedures and technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with rope-access operations.
• Prepare tools and materials.
• Document blade conditions.
• Support preventive maintenance work on turbine blades and related components.
• Work closely with engineering and field teams to execute maintenance plans.
• Report issues.
• Ensure reliability of wind energy assets.
• Follow all safety guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Contribute to the quality and efficiency of on-site operations.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Mechanical or electrical aptitude.
• Ability to work with tools and equipment used in inspection, repair, and maintenance.
• Skills in following technical instructions.
• Ability to read basic engineering or maintenance documentation.
• Adherence to standard operating procedures.
• Awareness of safety practices, including working at heights, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and compliance with safety regulations.
• Good physical fitness and stamina.
• Ability to work in outdoor and elevated environments for extended periods.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and field colleagues.

Qualifications

• Relevant technical diploma or certification in mechanical, electrical, or renewable energy disciplines is beneficial.
• Prior experience in wind turbine maintenance, rope-access work, or industrial field service is an added advantage.
