About the Role
The Owner role at Zoho is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. This role is responsible for setting strategic direction, overseeing business operations, and ensuring sustainable growth for assigned product lines or business units.
Key Responsibilities
- Defining long-term vision and goals.
- Aligning cross-functional teams.
- Making data-informed decisions about product roadmaps, investments, and resource allocation.
- Collaborating closely with engineering, product management, marketing, sales, and customer support to drive execution, improve customer experience, and maintain high standards of quality and privacy.
- Reviewing performance metrics.
- Identifying new market opportunities.
- Guiding key initiatives.
- Mentoring leaders.
- Representing the business unit in internal and external discussions.
- Building and leading diverse teams.
- Fostering an inclusive culture.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strategic leadership and business management skills.
- Product or business ownership experience, ideally in SaaS or technology.
- Global markets, customer needs, and competitive landscapes understanding, especially in cloud-based business software.
Qualifications
- Experience setting vision, building roadmaps, and driving execution across multiple teams.
- Strong financial acumen, with the ability to interpret P&L statements, manage budgets, and evaluate investment priorities for sustainable growth.
- Track record of scaling products or business units.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels and collaborate across functions.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, including comfort with data-driven decision-making and performance measurement.
- Ability to mentor emerging leaders.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Willingness to work on-site in Chennai and engage directly with teams and stakeholders on a regular basis.
