828 Facharzt Strahlentherapie (m/w/d)

About the Role

We are seeking a Facharzt Strahlentherapie (m/w/d) to join our team in the convenient commuting area of Duisburg. This is a full-time or part-time position.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the treatment of malignant diseases.
• Treat benign diseases using an Orthovolt device.
• Consiliary involvement in ward rounds for inpatient treatments, with primary patient care managed by individual specialist departments.

Requirements & Tech Stack

The practice is equipped with:

• A Varian Linear Accelerator of the latest generation.
• A Truebeam LINAC with 4D-CT and 6D-Tisch.
• An AlignRT Advance System (surface imaging during irradiation).
• 3D- and 4D-planning systems.
• A new Siemens 32-slice planning CT with integrated positioning laser and autocontouring function.

Modern treatment modalities offered include:

• Intensity-modulated radiotherapy.
• Volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT/RapidArc).
• 3D + 4D conformal radiotherapy.
• Respiratory-gated radiotherapy.
• Surface-guided radiotherapy (SGRT).
• Stereotactic radiotherapy (SBRT), including radiosurgery.
• Treatment of benign conditions with an Orthovolt device.

Qualifications

• Medical license for Germany (ärztliche Approbation für Deutschland).

• Valid expertise in radiation protection (gültige Fachkunde im Strahlenschutz).

• Interest in radiotherapy and its subspecialties.

• Interest in collaborating with colleagues in the department and other hospital departments.

• The role is open to:

• Newly qualified specialists or those nearing qualification.

• Experienced specialists.

• Senior specialists, potentially coming out of retirement.

Team & Environment

• You will join a team of 3 radiation therapists, 2 experienced medical physicists, and 6 MTRA (Medical-Technical Radiologists).
• The practice is affiliated with a hospital with an oncology focus and collaborates with an Oncological Center, Breast Center, Gynecological Cancer Center, and Colorectal Cancer Center.
• No night, weekend, or on-call duties.
• Opening hours: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM.
