About the Role
Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum, is seeking a Senior Pharmacy Technician to support the functions of a mental health and specialty pharmacy. This role primarily involves dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
- Hours: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
- Lunch: 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm.
- Location: 1035 E Jefferson St. Suite P1 Phoenix, AZ 85034.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff.
- Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist.
- Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies.
- Receive and process wholesaler medication orders.
- Verify medication stock and enter data into a computer to maintain inventory records.
- Assist the Pharmacist with pharmacy functions and ensure compliance with all federal and state requirements.
- Perform various clerical duties relating to the department.
- Communicate using strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Arizona.
- Access to reliable transportation.
Qualifications
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB).
- 6+ months of Pharmacy Technician experience.
