About the Role

This is NOT an armed security position. Weapons are not permitted on the premises, including in personal vehicles parked on the premises.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Assist client staff, visitors, and coworkers; maintain a positive and professional demeanor.
• Observe and Report: Stay alert for suspicious activities and incidents.
• Security Presence: Maintain a professional appearance and stand guard in lobbies, reception areas, control centers, etc.
• Security Officer: Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned areas.
• Access Control: Prevent unauthorized entry into restricted areas, check employee and vendor IDs, and follow proper access procedures.
• Safety Patrol: Ensure a safe and secure environment, enforce policies and procedures, and report safety concerns.
• Emergency Response: Assist in emergencies, administer CPR/First Aid/AED care, and communicate with emergency personnel.
• Security Liaison: Maintain professional communication with client staff, follow client requests, and update site supervisor/operations manager.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Smart mobile phone or computer for checking emails and completing online training.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required.
• Military veterans and individuals with security, firefighting, department of corrections, or law enforcement experience are encouraged to apply.
• Shift Opening(s): various days (Monday - Sunday) - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.
• Rate of Pay: $17.60.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent education certification (e.g., GED).
• Must pass a drug screening at the time of hire and randomly thereafter (including for marijuana).
• Must not have been convicted of any felonies.
• Must not have been convicted of any misdemeanors related to dishonesty, fraud, impersonation of law enforcement, assault, weapons, unauthorized sale of information or evidence, controlled substances (including for marijuana), or two or more alcohol-related offenses.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk, including up and down stairs, for 8-12 hours at a time.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Must be CPR, First Aid, and AED certified (Child, Infant, and Adult), or willing to become certified and be physically capable of administering lifesaving care.
• Ability to see clearly at least 20 feet away (with or without corrective lenses).
• Ability to hear conversations in loud environments either in-person or via radio.
• Ability to fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be professional and possess excellent customer service skills.
• Must have excellent personal integrity and a positive attitude.
• Must complete required trainings on time and adhere to all client and company policies.
