About the Role

The Volunteer at Home Tuition is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Delhi Area. This position is ideal for individuals who wish to contribute to community development through education and direct student engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring support to students in core subjects, helping them understand concepts, complete assignments, and prepare for exams.
• Plan simple lesson activities.
• Offer individualized guidance.
• Track student progress.
• Maintain a respectful, inclusive learning environment.
• Communicate with parents or guardians.
• Coordinate schedules.
• Work with other volunteers or coordinators to improve educational support.

Qualifications

• Strong subject knowledge in school-level academics (such as mathematics, science, languages, and social studies) and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen actively and build rapport with learners and families.
• Patience, empathy, and a supportive attitude toward learners from diverse backgrounds and varying academic levels.
• Organizational and time-management skills to plan sessions, manage schedules, and monitor student progress.
• Commitment to regular attendance in a full-time capacity in the Greater Delhi Area and reliability in meeting agreed tutoring hours.
• Minimum educational qualification of higher secondary completion; graduation in any discipline is preferred.

Beneficial Experience/Skills

• Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or community service.
• Basic familiarity with local school curricula and examination patterns in the Greater Delhi Area.
