Graduate Engineering Trainee

About the Role

Ingersoll Rand is seeking motivated and enthusiastic engineering graduates for the role of Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) within their Sales team. This position provides an opportunity to develop technical and commercial skills, gain understanding of industrial products and applications, engage with customers, and contribute to business growth. The selected candidate will participate in structured training and collaborate with experienced sales professionals to establish a strong foundation in industrial sales and business development.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the sales team in identifying and developing new business opportunities.
• Visit customers to understand their technical requirements and business needs.
• Assist in preparing quotations, commercial proposals, and tender documents.
• Assist in payment follow-ups with customers, including ABG and PBG submissions.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely responses to customer inquiries.
• Develop product knowledge and assist with technical presentations and demonstrations.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify potential business opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
• Basic understanding of engineering principles and industrial products.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Familiarity with CRM tools will be an added advantage.
• Willingness to travel.

• Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of relevant experience.
• Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
