About the Role
The Pharmacy Technician role functions in a training capacity, working alongside a trainer/mentor while completing job responsibilities in their respective pharmacy practice area. This role will assist pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and the care team in the storage, distribution, preparation, and handling of medications within MaineHealth. The Pharmacy Technician will only perform competencies that they have completed in their knowledge-based courses and on the job training, and are qualified to perform alongside a technician trainer/mentor or pharmacist.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and the care team in the storage, distribution, preparation, and handling of medications.
- Perform only competencies that have been completed in knowledge-based courses and on-the-job training.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficient computer skills.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current or eligible for applicable state(s) license as a Pharmacy Technician.
