About the Role
Produce clean, natural-sounding audiobook chapters from raw narration using Pro Tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Remove mistakes, false starts, unwanted takes, and unnecessary gaps.
- Clean clicks, pops, mouth noise, and other distracting defects.
- Maintain natural pauses, breathing, pacing, room tone, and continuity.
- Use clip editing, trimming, nudging, fades, crossfades, clip gain, and playlist management.
- Organize sessions, maintain version control, perform self-QC, and export chapters.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Pro Tools
- Dialogue editing
- Critical listening
- Audio cleanup
- File management
- Export workflows
- Knowledge of iZotope RX is preferred where permitted.
Qualifications
Success measures include:
- Clean edits
- No missing or repeated words
- Consistent audio
- Correct exports
- Fewer avoidable QC returns.
