About the Role
Vibes of India, Gujarat’s independent multimedia digital news platform, is seeking an Assignment Editor who believes good journalism is a public responsibility. This role offers the opportunity to exercise editorial judgment and contribute to shaping independent journalism in Gujarat.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify important news stories, emerging issues, and underreported voices.
- Track and report on major stories.
- Plan daily assignments and coordinate with reporters, video producers, and contributors.
- Develop compelling story ideas across politics, governance, business, health, lifestyle, society, culture, and current affairs.
- Edit stories, sharpen headlines, and strengthen story angles for the website.
- Present explainers and stories on YouTube.

- Excellent editing skills
- Excellent reporting skills
- Curiosity
- Courage to ask difficult questions
- Social media skills
- Proficiency in English
