About the Role
The Harrisburg Senators are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic, and dependable individual for the position of Marketing & Community Relations Associate for the 2027 season. This is a paid seasonal position.
- Start Date: January 2027
- End Date: TBD (after conclusion of the season in September 2027)
- Compensation: $1,500 per month ($10/hour)
- Hours: 150 hours per month, varying weekly.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with game-day responsibilities, including in-game social media posting/monitoring.
- Assist in maintaining internal planning calendars for content across platforms.
- Monitor social channels and engage with customers to resolve customer service issues and create positive PR opportunities.
- Assist with Senators email marketing initiatives.
- Work closely with the Community Relations Director to assist with planning and executing approximately 200 mascot and player appearances in the community.
- Assist the Community Relations Director in processing all incoming donation requests.
- Oversee the 2025 Mayfly Gang Kids Club.
- Assist the team with community grassroots marketing initiatives.
- Perform rotational departmental duties, gaining experience in:
- Ballpark and field maintenance
- Setup for ballgames and other events
- Senators community events
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Ability to work within the specified dates.
- Ability to maintain flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
- Must provide own transportation.
Qualifications
- Completing or have completed a four-year college degree strongly preferred in Sport Management, Marketing, Business, Communications, or other related field.
