About the Role

We are seeking entry-level, foundational Language Data Quality Reviewers for an ongoing, task-based project supporting a high-volume client initiative. This is a freelance, task-based role designed for individuals seeking supplemental income and real-world experience in AI language data and quality operations. Work is offered on a first-come, first-served basis as tasks become available. Hours may be irregular and intermittent depending on client volume. Project hours generally align with IST (Indian Standard Time).

This project is structured as a Level 1 (L1) engagement, which refers to the complexity and scope of tasks — not the candidate's overall capability or career level. L1 tasks are:

• Clearly defined and guideline-driven
• Execution-focused rather than strategy-based
• Designed for foundational quality review and data processing
• Structured with step-by-step instructions

Key Responsibilities

• Perform basic data and content reviews using provided guidelines
• Execute foundational quality checks (spelling, grammar, formatting)
• Apply basic data labeling and tagging
• Follow client instructions and workflow processes
• Maintain quality and accuracy standards
• Incorporate feedback to improve performance

Example Tasks

• Review simple content for grammar, spelling, and clarity in English and Hindi
• Translate short, straightforward phrases from English and Hindi
• Compare data against provided guidelines
• Apply basic data labels using step-by-step instructions
• Flag obvious errors or inconsistencies

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Must be able to read and write in English and Hindi
• Must understand and accept that this is a task-based, freelance role
• Must have a reliable computer or laptop
• Must have stable, high-speed internet
• Must be comfortable with flexible and intermittent work

Qualifications

• Interest in AI, data, or language technology
• Strong attention to detail
• Willingness to learn and adapt
• Prior exposure to data entry, content review, QA, or similar work (preferred, not required)

Engagement Type & Classification

This is a freelance, task-based engagement.

• United States candidates: Classified as 1099 Contractors (temporary, project-based)
• Non-U.S. candidates: Classified as independent contractors and onboarded via Deel.

Classification is determined by worker location and local compliance requirements.

Compensation

Hourly compensation varies by country and region and is based on experience, language, and local market requirements.

Range for India: USD $3 - $4 per hour (DOE)
