About the Role

The Superintendent role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kolkata.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate insurance survey and loss assessment activities.
• Ensure assignments are completed accurately, within deadlines, and in accordance with regulatory and company standards.
• Assign and review survey work.
• Guide surveyors and support staff.
• Validate data and documentation.
• Prepare or oversee technical reports for insurance claims.
• Interact with insurers, clients, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, address queries, and support efficient claim resolution.
• Contribute to process improvement.
• Monitor compliance.
• Train team members to maintain high service quality.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Ability to oversee insurance survey and loss assessment operations, including assignment allocation, progress tracking, and quality control.
• Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Organizational and time-management skills.
• Working knowledge of general insurance principles, claims processes, and relevant regulations.
• Proficiency with basic office software and digital documentation tools.
• Ability to lead and mentor staff, support a collaborative work environment, and uphold ethical and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in insurance, surveying, or loss assessing is highly beneficial.
• Relevant academic background such as a degree or diploma in insurance, risk management, commerce, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
