About the Role

Startup Story® is seeking a full-time, on-site WordPress Developer in New Delhi. This role involves building, customizing, and maintaining WordPress-based websites and landing pages to support content and community initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize WordPress themes and plugins.
• Implement responsive layouts.
• Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
• Collaborate with designers and content teams to translate creative concepts into web experiences.
• Monitor site performance, security, and scalability.
• Troubleshoot technical issues.
• Manage website updates.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the platform’s user experience.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong Front-End Development skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Responsive Web Design.
• Experience in Back-End Web Development for WordPress: PHP, database integration, and plugin customization.
• Web Design and UX/UI skills.
• Solid Web Development skills: theme development, performance optimization, and security best practices.
• Experience with WordPress CMS, custom post types, and page builders (e.g., Elementor, Gutenberg) is highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with SEO fundamentals, analytics tools, and website optimization techniques is preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
