About the Role
The Manager Trainee is a full-time, entry-level position designed to prepare you for a leadership role within 84 Lumber. This role offers hands-on training across all aspects of store operations with the goal of promotion to a management position.
Key Responsibilities
- Support customers and drive sales in a retail store environment.
- Oversee material/supply chain flow, stock, and merchandising.
- Create material estimates for building projects.
- Safe handling of materials and equipment.
- Manage payroll, invoicing, inventory, and financial analysis.
- Work with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
- Assist customers in all weather conditions.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Full-time schedule (48+ hours/week, overtime included).
- Willingness to relocate for a management position.
- Microsoft Office Suite (previous experience preferred).
- Forklift Operation and Certification.
Qualifications
- No experience is required to begin your career.
- Bring your dedication and willingness to learn.
- Must complete the learning plan and course of study within the assigned time frame.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Work in both indoor and outdoor settings.
- Assist customers in all weather conditions.
- Requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting (up to 80 pounds).
- May work around machinery and airborne particles.
Compensation
$46,000 - $50,000
