Retail Associate

Role Overview

Responsible for operating cash registers, processing transactions, and assisting customers with bagging while providing courteous service.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate cash registers and scanners to itemize and total customer purchases, including various product categories.
• Handle financial transactions accurately using cash, checks, credit cards, and other payment methods.
• Weigh, bag, and ensure proper product identification and pricing, reporting errors as needed.
• Maintain store displays, stock shelves, and ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
• Communicate store programs, specials, and coupons to customers, demonstrating high service standards.
• Follow policies for security, cash handling, product handling, and food safety, while adhering to PPE and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist in stocking and perform other assigned tasks to enhance guest experience and store operations.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED preferred; retail experience is a plus.
• Strong verbal communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical activities in varied store environments.
