About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Professor role based at Kingstone University Barasat in Kolkata.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions, ensuring course content aligns with departmental and university standards.
• Prepare lesson plans.
• Assess student performance through assignments and examinations.
• Provide guidance and academic advising to learners.
• Engage in scholarly activities such as research, publications, and conference participation.
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with colleagues on departmental projects.
• Participate in committees.
• Support outreach or co-curricular activities that enhance the academic environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced academic qualification (preferably PhD or pursuing PhD) in a relevant discipline, with a strong foundation in subject-specific knowledge.
• Demonstrated teaching ability at the undergraduate or postgraduate level, including experience with lesson planning, classroom delivery, and student assessment.
• Evidence of research aptitude such as publications, conference presentations, or ongoing scholarly projects.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse learners and foster an inclusive classroom environment.
• Proficiency in using educational technology, learning management systems, and digital tools to support teaching and learning.
• Ability to work collaboratively within academic teams, participate in departmental activities, and contribute to institutional development.
• Commitment to ethical academic practices, student mentorship, and continuous professional growth.
• Relevant teaching or industry experience and familiarity with the Kolkata or Barasat educational context will be considered an advantage.
