Automation Engineer

About the Role

At Tetra Pak, we are committed to making food safe and available, everywhere. As part of our Future Talent Program – Technical Track, an 18-month development journey, you will deepen your technical expertise, contribute to meaningful projects, and help solve real challenges that support the future of food processing and packaging.

The program starts on February, 2027.

The position will be based in Winsted, MN.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop technical documentation for projects focused on plant functionalities.
• Support and learn internal simulation tests and support Factory Acceptance Tests with customers.
• Help maintain and update Markets reusable solutions.
• Participate in simulation, startup, and commissioning of systems/modules.
• Develop technical solutions in projects, provide support in problem-solving, and participate in technical discussions with customers and suppliers.
• Learn and gain experience in process or automation engineering with a desire to learn more about the opposite discipline.
• Gain commissioning experience and the desire to continue supporting commissioning efforts.
• Learn about our systems such as SkyNet and Tetra Factory OS.
• Develop your problem-solving mindset.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Recently graduated or about to graduate with an Engineering degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Automation and Control, or related fields.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
• Previous internships or projects utilizing PLC’s Siemens/Rockwell and SCADA programming and networks is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
