About the Role
The Area Leader Trainee position is an exciting opportunity in a fast-paced retail sales environment. You will directly oversee 12-14 store locations and play a key role in shaping the future of convenience. The training program typically lasts 12 months, with incredible career growth potential leading to a key operations role. Within 2-5 years, Area Leaders can pursue various career paths.
Key Responsibilities
- Staffing, training, and supervising Store Leaders
- Implementing merchandising programs
- Controlling cash and inventory
- Motivating and teambuilding
- Promoting excellent customer service
- Profit and loss management, including budget planning, maximizing sales, and controlling expenses
- Setting performance goals and objectives, and monitoring results with upper management
Requirements & Tech Stack
- A valid Driver’s License from the state of residence
- Maintain automotive liability insurance during the course of employment
Qualifications
- A 4-year degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, OR 5+ years of experience managing district or regional operations for retail/commercial, or a large single commercial store with multiple managers and 100+ employees.
- The ability to multi-task
- Self-motivated
- Ability to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Previous multi-unit management experience is preferred.
