About the Role
The Chartered Accountant Articleship Trainee will support the firm’s engagements across accounting, auditing, taxation, and company law matters. This is an internship role, based on-site at the firm’s office in Kochi, offering structured practical training under professional supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting in statutory and internal audits.
- Preparing working papers.
- Maintaining books of accounts.
- Supporting tax computations and filings for individuals and entities.
- Helping with ROC and company law compliance.
- Drafting financial reports.
- Preparing documentation for management consultancy assignments.
- Researching accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory changes.
- Coordinating with clients for data collection and query resolution.
Qualifications
- Registered CA student (IPCC/Intermediate cleared as per ICAI requirements) with eligibility for articleship training.
- Strong foundation in Accounting principles, Auditing concepts, Taxation (direct and indirect), and basic Company Law.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and accounting software; familiarity with Tally or similar ERP systems is an advantage.
- Ability to analyze financial data, prepare working papers, and document findings with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated integrity, professional ethics, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
- Preference for candidates residing in or willing to relocate to Kochi for on-site training.
