Software Quality Engineer Associate

About the Role

Lockheed Martin is seeking a full-time Early Career Software Quality Engineer Associate. In this role, you will perform software validation/verification and evaluate software processes for contract compliance.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Must be a US Citizen.
• This position will require a government security clearance.
• This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college in a STEM discipline (preferably Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering) or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Willing to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Foundational knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) utilizing standard software methodologies.
• Academic or internship exposure to Requirements Analysis, Software Design/Development, Product Integration, and Software Testing.
• Ability to interpret, review, or develop code using programming and scripting languages (such as C, C++, Python, or Bash).
• Basic knowledge of software quality assurance audit principles, root cause analysis, or process verification techniques.

Desired Skills

• Proficiency with software engineering collaboration tools (such as Jira, Confluence, or GitLab/GitHub).
• Basic knowledge of aerospace or industry-recognized Quality Systems / Models (such as CMMI, AS9100, or ISO 9001).
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies or green belt principles.
• Proficiency with technical documentation and analysis using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
