Chief Information Security Officer

About the Role

The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for leading AB Bank PLC.'s information security and cybersecurity strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain information security policies, standards, and frameworks aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Oversee security operations, monitor threats, and manage incident response.
• Coordinate vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Work closely with technology, risk, compliance, and business teams to ensure secure application development, data protection, and business continuity planning.
• Lead security awareness programs.
• Manage audits.
• Report security posture to senior leadership.
• Guide security-related investments and projects.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Information Security and Information Security Management, with experience establishing and governing enterprise-wide security frameworks.
• Proficiency in Cybersecurity practices, including threat management, incident response, security monitoring, and risk assessment.
• Hands-on experience with Application Security, secure software development lifecycle (SDLC), and protection of critical banking applications and APIs.
• Demonstrated capability in Business Continuity planning, disaster recovery, and resilience strategies for financial services environments.
• Extensive experience in banking or financial services, with solid understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements related to information security.
• Proven leadership skills, including managing multidisciplinary security teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical risks into business impact and clear recommendations.
• Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or Cert_In certified or Experienced IT Officer in a PSB of Financial Institution or equivalent.
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field is highly preferred.
• Preference for retired PSB/Scheduled Commercial Bank/Financial Institution Officials holding experience and expertise in the IT Field.
