Retail Sales Associate / Keyholder

About the Role

CubeSmart Self-Storage is seeking a Retail Sales Associate / Keyholder responsible for managing and maintaining stores within a district, focusing on customer service and property maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service
• Develop customer relationships by identifying self-storage needs and providing appropriate solutions.
• Deliver a standout customer experience through face-to-face interaction.
• Meet monthly sales goals and metrics.
• Perform daily operational tasks including lock checks and showing units to customers.
• Rent self-storage units.
• Sell store merchandise.
• Manage the leasing process.
• Accept payments utilizing the Point-of-Sale System (POS).
• Complete daily bank deposits.
• Make courtesy calls to customers regarding late payments.
• Property Maintenance
• Perform daily walks of the property.
• Clean units and store grounds.
• Open and close storage doors (up to 50 lbs.).
• Maintain facility, including mopping, sweeping, changing light bulbs, and cleaning out storage units.
• Keep a clean and safe storage facility to ensure conditions meet company guidelines.

Qualifications

• A positive and outgoing personality with a passion for helping people.
• Experience in delivering high-quality customer service to a diverse customer market.
• A self-driven mindset with a strong operational focus.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office products.
• Ability to work Saturdays.
• Access to a personal vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and up-to-date insurance are required.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future sponsorship.
• Physical requirements include standing, sitting, kneeling, crouching, crawling, bending, climbing, or balancing on a ladder.
• Hourly rate: $19.00-$21.00, based on experience.
• Some locations may require Sunday hours.
