Position Title: Research Associate, Semiconductors & Semiconductor Capital Equipment
Corporate Title: Vice President
Location: New York, NY
Department: Equity Research
This position is within the US Equity Research Department, which provides sell-side equity research coverage of approximately 600 companies across 30+ sectors. Research Associates support Senior Analysts in providing stock coverage for external Firm clients and internal constituents.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct involvement in company and industry research produced by the team.
- Financial modeling to forecast company results and value equity securities.
- Collecting and evaluating industry data, and maintaining industry databases.
- Translating quantitative financial conclusions into written form, charts, and graphs for research reports distributed to clients.
- Flexibility to switch between periods of heavy financial modeling and assignments involving more qualitative writing and presentation skills.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong quantitative skills: demonstrated strong finance, accounting, and overall valuation skills.
- Solid writing and presentation skills: ability to express quantitative conclusions in both written and spoken form.
- Ability to translate financial analyses into high-quality charts and graphical representations for research reports.
- Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills: ability to create complex, yet easily understandable financial models.
- Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimize workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment for responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
