About the Role

Sodexo at Nebraska Medicine is hiring a Biomedical Equipment Technician Trainee to support HTM services in Omaha, NE. This is an 18-month program where you will be assigned a mentor and complete all modules. At the end, you must be able to pass the CABT certification exam.

This role plays a hands-on part in supporting patient care by ensuring medical equipment operates safely, accurately, and efficiently. As an individual contributor, you will focus on completing specific tasks and projects, contributing directly through your skills and expertise. You will perform specialized technical tasks to support operations, working primarily independently but may collaborate with a team.

Pay Range: $235 per year - $250 per year

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and maintain medical equipment to ensure reliable patient care across clinical settings.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and maintain compliance.
• Uphold regulatory standards and promote a safety-first environment, supporting audits and remediation efforts.
• Maintain accurate service records, analyze data trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to resolve technical issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Mentor and train team members to enhance technical skills and overall service quality.

Qualifications

• Education Requirement: High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
