Facade Designer

Role: Facade Designer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed facade concepts and shop drawings for cladding and glazing systems.
• Ensure structural integrity, aesthetic appeal, and compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and fabrication teams.
• Review design inputs.
• Optimize facade details for manufacturability and installation.
• Resolve technical issues during design and construction.
• Prepare documentation.
• Update drawings based on feedback.
• Support quality assurance for facade-related deliverables.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Facade design (including Facade and Facade Design).
• Practical skills in building envelope materials and systems, including Cladding and Glazing.
• Technical drafting and documentation skills, including Shop Drawings.
• Proficiency in CAD or BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) for facade detailing and coordination.
• Understanding of structural behavior, building codes, and industry standards related to facades.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and visualization abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information clearly.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Prior experience in facade or building envelope design is preferred.
