About Sahyadri

Sahyadri is an independent Layer 1 blockchain project building toward a more sovereign, decentralized digital ecosystem. Our work focuses on Proof-of-Work DAG blockchain infrastructure, decentralized payments, cryptographic verification, self-sovereign identity, blockchain wallets, and encrypted peer-to-peer communication. The long-term vision extends beyond a single blockchain product; we aim to build an ecosystem where developers can create decentralized applications, contribute to open infrastructure, and build useful products on top of sovereign technology. We’re looking for someone who can contribute technically today and help grow the ecosystem over time.

The Role

This is a hands-on technical role for someone interested in both building decentralized technology and growing the community around it. You’ll work directly with the founder, contribute to real products, engage with developers, and help turn an early-stage blockchain project into a growing developer ecosystem. We value builders who can write code, understand users, communicate technical ideas, and take ownership of their work.

Key Responsibilities

1. Engineering & Product Development

• Build and improve web applications using React, Next.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Contribute to blockchain wallet interfaces, transaction experiences, and the blockchain explorer.
• Integrate blockchain APIs and develop tools that make Sahyadri easier to use.
• Explore decentralized applications, Web3 integrations, and future ecosystem products.
• Work with the founder to turn technical ideas into working products.

2. Developer Community & Ecosystem

• Help build a genuine community around Sahyadri.
• Connect with blockchain developers, open-source contributors, and potential ecosystem partners.
• Encourage developers to experiment with Sahyadri and contribute to its codebase.
• Help create technical documentation, tutorials, demos, and developer resources.
• Participate in technical discussions, online communities, and developer events.
• Listen to community feedback and help translate it into product improvements.

This is not simply a social media or marketing role. We want someone who understands the technology well enough to engage meaningfully with developers.

3. Long-Term Ecosystem Development

• Help identify opportunities for decentralized applications and developer tools.
• Contribute ideas for growing the ecosystem sustainably.
• Explore ways to support independent builders and open-source projects.
• Take increasing ownership of products and initiatives as the project evolves.

As Sahyadri grows, there may be opportunities to help establish a broader decentralized technology business and lead important parts of its development.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong frontend development skills, particularly React and JavaScript or TypeScript.
• An understanding of APIs, Git, GitHub, and modern development workflows.
• A genuine interest in blockchain, decentralization, cryptography, or Web3.
• The ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Interest in building developer communities and open-source ecosystems.
• Initiative, independent problem-solving, and consistent follow-through.
• A builder’s mindset: willing to learn, experiment, ship, and improve.

Additional Advantages

• Next.js and blockchain API integrations.
• Web3 libraries, wallet development, or smart contracts.
• Solidity, Rust, or systems programming.
• Previous open-source contributions.
• Experience growing a technical community or organizing developer initiatives.
• Experience launching products from an early stage.

You don’t need to be an expert in every area. Strong engineering fundamentals, genuine curiosity, and the ability to execute matter most.

Working With the Founder

You’ll work directly with the founder and have the opportunity to influence technical decisions, product direction, and ecosystem development. This is a remote-first opportunity with optional in-person collaboration around Pune. The initial arrangement is part-time and flexible. We’re interested in people who want to build for the long term, not simply complete assigned tasks.

Compensation & Future Opportunities

Sahyadri is currently an independently developed, bootstrapped project. This opportunity is currently unpaid. No salary or equity is guaranteed. As the project develops, longer-term arrangements, greater responsibilities, and potential founding-team or co-founder opportunities may be discussed if there is mutual interest and a strong working relationship.
