About the Role

Kelley’s Market is hiring Retail Sales Associates to assist customers and ensure the smooth operation of their convenience store.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, efficient service.
• Operate the cash register and point-of-sale system, process purchases and refunds, and handle cash accurately.
• Answer questions about products, prices, and promotions.
• Stock and organize shelves, coolers, freezers, and merchandise displays.
• Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor, restrooms, exterior areas, fuel pumps, and car wash (where applicable).
• Maintain clean and stocked Kelley’s Café food and beverage areas, adhering to food safety procedures.
• Complete shift paperwork and assist with cash and safe reconciliation.
• Follow safety, security, and cash-handling procedures.
• Communicate customer concerns, equipment problems, and other issues to store leadership.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily store operations.

What We Offer

• Pay: $15–$18 per hour, based on experience, knowledge, skills, education, and certifications.
• Overnight Differential: An additional $3 per hour for hours worked between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Provide friendly, dependable customer service in a busy retail environment.
• Communicate clearly and work effectively with team members and store leadership.
• Use basic math skills to handle cash and process transactions accurately.
• Be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in coolers, freezers, and outdoor conditions.
• Ability to obtain an alcohol sales operator license where required.

Helpful Experience

• Previous work in retail, a convenience store, or a gas station.
• Experience as a cashier or in another customer service role.
• Experience handling cash or completing shift reports.
