Assistant Designer, BIM Structures

About the Role

As a BIM Structural Modeler at Jacobs, you will be responsible for providing drafting support on multi-disciplinary projects. You will create 2D drawings and 3D models, ensuring the technical quality of your work and compliance with project objectives and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Create 2D drawings and 3D models for a range of projects.
• Support, mentor, and train other members of the drafting team on complex tasks.
• Coordinate with project managers and/or engineers for BIM documentation and drafting work.
• Ensure technical correctness, project standard compliance, and timely delivery of drawings and documents.
• Liaise with Architecture, MEP, and other disciplines.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Experience in preparing REVIT Documentation (3D and 2D) at a minimum LOD 300.
• Experience with general arrangement drawings, Composite steel drawings, Structural Steel Drawings, Reinforcement Drawings, and Reinforcement Detailing.
• Familiarity with REVIT Archi and REVIT MEP for model coordination.
• Familiarity with Navisworks for model checking.
• In-depth knowledge of building structural elements.
• BIM Knowledge as per best-industry practice, including hands-on experience in 3D modelling and scheduling, multi-D coordination and documentation, BIM setup for a project, and execution and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Experience in preparing minimum LOD 300 REVIT Documentation (3D and 2D).
• Experience in general arrangement drawings, Composite steel drawings, Structural Steel Drawings, Reinforcement Drawings, and Reinforcement Detailing.
• Experience in Precast will be an advantage.
• Must have experience on international projects.
• Self-motivated, team player, and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• BIM management experience as an additional skill will be preferred.
