About the Role

SocialMacc is a growing social media and digital content agency specializing in short-form video content, including reels and stories, for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and other social channels.

Role Description

As a Freelance Reel Editor at SocialMacc, you will work on project-based work from home, creating and editing engaging short-form video content for social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit raw footage into polished reels.
• Add music, text, transitions, and effects aligned with brand guidelines.
• Optimize content for various platforms and formats.
• Collaborate with content creators, strategists, and clients to interpret briefs and refine concepts.
• Deliver timely, high-quality edits.
• Stay current with social media trends.
• Suggest creative ideas for new reels.
• Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar tools).
• Basic motion graphics.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to edit short-form content optimized for social media platforms such as Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok.
• Good understanding of aspect ratios, color correction, sound design, and visual storytelling for digital audiences.
• Familiarity with current social media trends, viral formats, and best practices for audience engagement and retention.
• Ability to interpret creative briefs, follow brand guidelines, and incorporate feedback efficiently and professionally.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with on-site team members and clients.
• Prior experience in social media content editing or a portfolio showcasing reel or short-form video work.

Formal education in media, film, or related fields is a plus but not required.
