About the Role
Arnold & Smith, PLLC is seeking a newly licensed or early-career attorney to join our family law team in Uptown Charlotte. This position is designed for an attorney at the beginning of their career who wants to learn from experienced family law practitioners, develop real litigation and client-management skills, and progressively take responsibility for cases of their own.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn from experienced family law practitioners.
- Develop litigation and client-management skills.
- Progressively take responsibility for cases.
- Gain hands-on experience with active family law matters.
- Be exposed to hearings, negotiations, mediations, discovery, litigation, and client counseling.
- Receive guidance and feedback to develop legal writing, advocacy, strategy, and case-management skills.
- Gain increasing responsibility as experience develops.
- Develop a path toward independently managing your own family law cases.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- North Carolina Bar admission or admission anticipated in the near future
- Strong writing, research, analytical, and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organization
- A strong work ethic and genuine commitment to client service
- A desire to learn and build a career in family law
- Prior family law experience is helpful, but not required.
