Solution Specialist, Data & AI

About the Role

We are looking for a Solution Specialist - Data & AI to provide strategic and technical support throughout the sales lifecycle, helping customers identify the right solutions while enabling our Sales teams to develop and win high-value opportunities. As a Solution Specialist - Data & AI you will act as a trusted advisor to customers and a strategic partner to our Sales teams. You will work across complex customer opportunities, understand business and technology requirements, shape appropriate solutions, and provide the expertise needed to move opportunities from discovery through proposal and commercial discussions.

Key Responsibilities

• Partnering with Sales teams and customers to understand business objectives, challenges, and technology requirements.
• Leading discovery and consultative discussions to develop solutions that align with customer needs and measurable business outcomes.
• Providing presales expertise throughout the sales lifecycle, including solution positioning, customer presentations, proposals, and commercial discussions.
• Identifying additional growth opportunities within existing customer relationships and supporting the development of strategic account plans.
• Collaborating with internal specialists and stakeholders to develop compelling, commercially viable customer solutions.
• Maintaining strong knowledge of SoftwareOne's solutions, services, market developments, and competitive landscape to strengthen customer conversations and sales strategies.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Experience in solution sales, presales, business development, or consulting within Data, Analytics, AI, Cloud, or related technology areas.
• Strong understanding of modern Data & AI concepts and platforms, with exposure to technologies such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data & AI, Azure Databricks, Azure OpenAI, or Microsoft AI Foundry. SoftwareOne's internal Data & AI role material specifically references these technologies within its Azure Data & AI portfolio.
• Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to uncover customer challenges and translate technology capabilities into clear business value.
• Confidence engaging senior customer stakeholders and leading discovery sessions, presentations, and solution conversations.
• Commercial acumen with experience supporting opportunity qualification, proposals, solution positioning, and sales progression.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across Sales, technical, delivery, partner, and customer teams.
