Project Engineer

About the Role

Balfour Beatty Construction is seeking Project Engineers to join their teams in Dallas and Austin, TX. This is an entry-level position that assists the Project Manager and Sr. Project Engineer with the planning and daily execution of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning and daily execution of construction projects.
• Maintain aspects of the project schedule, as assigned by the Project Manager.
• Manage the process of submittal approvals.
• Coordinate the timely delivery of materials.
• Maintain schedules and budgets to ensure projects are completed with quality and profitability.
• Comply with Safety/Zero Harm culture.
• Project Financial Responsibilities.
• Preconstruction Services.
• Project Start-up and Scheduling.
• Project Administration, Coordination, and Close-out.
• Promote Customer Relations.
• Promote Culture, Leadership, and Employee Development.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• B.S. degree (Construction Management degrees preferred).
• Proficiency in using a personal computer (PC).
• Proficiency in company communication tools, such as email, the internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook).

Qualifications

• RFI management.
• Change orders management.
• Submittals management.
• Punch-list management.
• Assisting with sub-contractor meeting minutes.
• One to three years of previous working experience and/or one six-month intern co-op with a construction company is preferred.
