About the Role
Flanigan's seeks warm, caring, friendly, and outgoing individuals who find joy in serving others. Servers play a vital role in every meal by welcoming and guiding guests, taking orders, serving, and attending to details.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training.
- Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc., as needed.
- Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current promotions and specials, and answer guest questions verbally and clearly.
- Accurately write down guest orders and enter them into the POS system in a timely manner.
- Retrieve food or drink orders from the kitchen or bar area and deliver them to guests in a timely manner.
- Assess guest demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager.
- Collect guest payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using the POS efficiently, and calculate/deliver correct change to guests.
- Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, and assigned sidework.
- Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Ability to physically stand/walk 100% of shift.
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop frequently.
- Able to deliver plates and clear tables, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc.
- Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program.
- Complete and pass food safety certification program.
- Five (5) Day Work Week.
- Must be 21 or Over for 401K enrollment.
Qualifications
- Paid Vacation: One week after year one, two weeks after two years, and three weeks after ten years.
