As a Retail Selling Colleague at Macy's, you will blend selling with genuine hospitality to create standout shopping experiences. You will understand customer needs, offer personalized recommendations, and connect them with the right products and services. Your warmth, product knowledge, and personal approach will turn everyday visits into memorable moments, while you focus on achieving selling goals through customer engagement and smart selling behaviors. The customer is at the heart of everything you do.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet teammates, ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and prepared for customers.
• Review sales goals, learn about new arrivals and top-selling items, and stay up-to-date on current trends and promotions.
• Focus on the customer by offering a warm welcome, making eye contact, and creating friendly, personal conversations.
• Maintain a shoppable space by recovering the floor and fitting rooms, updating signs and pricing, and supporting merchandise moves.
• Share Loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have everything they need, and end with a sincere thank-you.
• Support one another with honesty, care, and collaboration.
• Strive to improve every day, take pride in your work, achieve sales goals, and learn from each other.
• Help keep the shopping space clean, organized, and inviting.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Understanding and communicating effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Reading and understanding employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English.
• Comfortable communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues.
• Meeting daily sales goal challenges.
• Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.
• Resourceful and eager to start a new venture, capable of adapting to changing priorities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable using electronic devices, including handheld equipment and cash registers.

Essential Physical Requirements

• Talking, lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
• Standing for at least two consecutive hours.
• Lifting at least 25lbs.
• Stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
• Reaching, including above eye level.
• Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Frequent use of computers and other technology.
• Ability to process register transactions.
