About The Role
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role for experienced Machine Learning Engineers. The role focuses on teaching AI how to think by producing high-quality training data for cutting-edge large language models.

What You'll Do
- Design and document precise, structured reasoning logs that demonstrate how a skilled engineer approaches complex technical problems.
- Record sequential decision-making workflows — from problem framing through tool selection, execution, and verification.
- Generate high-quality training datasets that illustrate expert-level reasoning and tool use for AI models.
- Critically audit and refine AI-generated reasoning steps to ensure accuracy, logical consistency, and practical soundness.
- Work across a range of sophisticated ML and engineering challenges — independently, on your own schedule.
Who You Are
- Professional background in Machine Learning, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Exceptional ability to articulate complex reasoning and multi-step problem-solving in clear, structured prose.
- Strong critical thinking skills — you can spot flawed logic, missing steps, or suboptimal approaches at a glance.
- Methodical and detail-oriented, with a high standard for technical accuracy.
- Master's Degree or PhD in a relevant field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently without close supervision.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in data annotation, data quality assurance, or AI evaluation workflows.
- Familiarity with how large language models are trained, fine-tuned, or evaluated.
- Background in technical writing, documentation, or engineering education.
- Hands-on experience working with ML frameworks, APIs, or agentic AI systems.
