About the Role
Rarebreed Veterinary Partners is seeking a skilled Overnight Veterinary Technician to join the Veterinary Emergency Center of Canton team. This role offers an opportunity to practice emergency medicine and collaborate with a positive, supportive team in a fast-paced hospital environment. Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care and technical support to hospitalized and emergency patients
- Perform venipuncture and place IV catheters
- Monitor anesthesia and assist veterinarians during surgical and medical procedures
- Assist with diagnostics including bloodwork, radiographs, and laboratory testing
- Monitor patient vitals, maintain accurate treatment records, and communicate patient updates
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
- Support patient restraint and handling while ensuring a low-stress experience for pets
- Maintain a clean, organized treatment area and assist with stocking medical supplies
- Collaborate closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff
Requirements & Tech Stack
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Hands-on experience working as a Veterinary Technician required (assistant-only experience is not sufficient)
- Ability to perform core technical skills including blood draws, catheter placement, patient monitoring, and surgical assistance
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Must be a team player with compassion for pets and their people
Veterinary technician license is not required.

Compensation
- $27-$31 per hour
