About the Role
Genoa Healthcare, a part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, is seeking a Senior Pharmacy Technician to support Genoa's mental health and specialty pharmacy. This role involves dispensing medical prescriptions and performing clerical duties under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
- Hours: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, with a lunch break from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
- Location: 1035 E Jefferson St. Suite P1 Phoenix, AZ 85034
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic staff.
- Fill prescription orders and prepare them for verification by a Registered Pharmacist.
- Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies.
- Receive and process wholesaler medication orders.
- Verify medication stock and enter data into the computer to maintain inventory records.
- Assist the Pharmacist with pharmacy functions and ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.
- Perform various clerical duties related to the department.
- Communicate using strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Arizona.
- Access to reliable transportation.
Qualifications
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) (Preferred)
- 6+ months of Pharmacy Technician experience (Preferred)
Compensation
- Hourly pay ranges from $18.00 to $32.00 per hour based on full-time employment.
- Pay is based on factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
