Interior Designer

About the Role

The Interior Designer will work on-site in Chennai in a full-time capacity, contributing to the design and execution of residential and commercial interior projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing design concepts.
• Preparing space plans.
• Creating construction drawings.
• Selecting FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) aligned with project requirements and budgets.
• Collaborating with clients to understand their vision.
• Presenting design options and material boards.
• Coordinating with vendors and contractors.
• Monitoring site progress to ensure design intent is maintained.
• Assisting in estimating project costs.
• Maintaining project documentation.
• Ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, endscape, vray, lumion or similar).
• Basic MS Office skills and Google Sheets.

Qualifications

• Strong Interior Design and Space Planning skills.
• Architecture-related knowledge.
• Ability to develop accurate Construction Drawings (plans, elevations, and details).
• FF&E expertise.
• Strong visual, creative, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and aesthetics.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Prior experience in interior projects in Chennai or similar markets is an advantage.
