About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
- Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards.
- Maintaining accurate records and logs.
- Following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) regarding the checking in and out of freight.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- CDL Class A License Required.
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A and endorsements for the position.
- Tractor Type: Day Cab
- Trailer Type: Dry Van 53’
- Freight Type: Auto Parts
- Touch/No Touch Freight: No Touch
- Deliver To: Carolinas, KY, MI, IL, TX
Qualifications
- 9 months or less of CDL driving experience.
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
- Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures.
- Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
- Pass a Ryder background and a Motor Vehicle Registration check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
- Pass a DOT physical.
- Pass a Ryder road test.
Additional Details
- Paid Training: 8 weeks of training focusing on backing, close quarter maneuvers, and practice runs.
- Paid Weekly: Earn $1050 or more Weekly.
- Schedule: Monday – Saturday Or Sunday - Friday.
- Start Time: Open to Bid System for Routes Based on Seniority.
- Paid Time Off: Starts at Day 1.
